Google drift launching. It involves unwinding the lines whilst in the water and is a fairly difficult thing to get right.

This one is fairly straightforward - IF YOU HAVE A CLEAR SANDY BOTTOM TO LAUNCH. You also have to avoid bridle tangles when flipping the kite and make sure you dont step downwind of any of the lines. Its not something for a beginner to try - you need to know what to avoid and what to do if something goes wrong. This isn't a suitable method if there are any waves.

There are other ways, but they tend to depend on the location, conditions and kite. Waves will manage to screw up a lot of drift launches.

Some more info would help as different ways for different situations.

ie depth offshore and wave action - ie can you stand...wind direction and what is downwind is also important - as is your skill level.....

Drift launch is actually very easy and safe, the launch part is no harder than your kite is to relaunch. Some kites are easier to relaunch.
The only challenging part is is the release of your lines, but with some thought and prior preparation its quite simple.
