Slingshot riding suicide unhooked setup??

iv got a slingshot octane and iv been looking into getting into riding unhooked. with the leash setup am i just connecting my leash to my chicken loop or do i thread the rind thru the chicken loop then attach the leash to the ring thru the chicken loop?

I think (correct me please), if you thread the ring/red-tab through the chicken loop and attach to that, you can still trigger the QR and it will flag out as normal. If you just hook straight to the chicken loop and pull the QR, byebye kite.

try that upside down back to front halfway in a handlepass going very wrong.......oh ****!!!!

i clip it straight around all the center lines above the quick release. the leach seems to get to tangled if i do it any other way

If you're unhooked and things are going wrong then you probably can't reach the bar anyway!

I've found attaching to the depower (below the bar) works really well.

If you miss a pass it let go of bar it depowers automatically, eg the throw of the bar plus the depower from sheeting.

Another reason i attach here is that pulling on your leash sheets your kite.

It's like a SLINGSHOT semi suicide setup, or SSSSS.

U mean the depower chicken loop rope? That little plastic thing is only held in there by 2 tiny screws it would rip it right off?

It doesn't., if trying something new where I might slam few times I change back to the metal attachment inside loop.

Or the total flag out ring.
