Having a real tough time making sense of all the kite boarding set up options around.

I'm Male, 80kg, 5'10, Riding Melbourne St Kilda, Altona and Around.

Would any know what is a better package for me out of the two packages i can see on Kite Power website. Both around the same price at 2400

+ Cabrinha Switchblade 2014 11m + Cabrinha Overdrive Bar/Lines + Cabrinha Spectrum Twintip 2014 136cm/140cm/144cm/148cm

or 2015 Best Kahoona 11.5m kite + 2015 Best 52cm RP Bar w/ 22m lines + 2015 Best Spin 134cm, 139cm, 144cm

Alternatively, both the local shops in my area quoting 3k for full new set up with North or Naish

Wound really appreciate an informed opinion so I can make some sense. Thanks!

I would think the switchblade is the better kite of the two
they are perfect beginners kite
I have the 11 and 14 and could not recommend them highly enough
I looked around plenty when starting and did a ton of research etc
you won't hear a bad thing about a switchblade
and they can take a beating which is ideal for a beginner

Hey bud, I'm a newbie too. Weigh in at 75kg's.
My setup is Best TS 10m, Rp bar, 22m lines and an Axis Vanguard TT. In all my lessons I flew Cabrinah and was nervous to change over to the Best gear. I'm not a pro at this and can only give my opinion but the Best TS is absolutely magnificent. I'm almost finished my lessons and always choose to use my Best Kite over Cabrinah.

Probably be good for you to try different kites (demo) when going for lessons and see which one you prefer.

Me and a mate just purchased a simular Cabrinha package and we are both very happy with the gear. To be fair neither of us have ever tried Best. I’m not loyal to any kite shop but the times I have purchased from KP they have been great to deal with...
