The instructor form KBL was Vit, and we were very happy with the way the lessons were run.
2 Of us (son & I) managed to get up & riding for short periods and I've bought a single set of gear so that we can practice & improve.
Daughter still needs to work on getting up on the board, and planning to spend some time with her once I have become a bit more proficient, to work with her to get going (and will get her to some more lessons if need be)
At this stage son & I are plan on working to get familiar with the gear we have bought, improving kite control & body dragging skills (the board does not come back to you by itself....

) and spending more time on the board, as opposed to next to it.
Looking at suitably safe/shallow locations as advised elsewhere on this forum to practice over the next few weeks. One thing I am very clear on is that safety is key, unlike windsurfing things can get very hairy very quickly. My brother is an ED doctor in Hervey Bay and has seen his fair share of kitesurfing patients (getting dragged over coral is a messy business apparently)
