Starting to wonder why i'm bothering, but i'm really struggling to complete this transition. On several occasions today my efforts resulted in the kite crashing into the water as I focussed on pivoting the board round. Anyone else with the same problem? Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

Google/YouTube is your friend.
Watch it repeatedly
Run it in your head repeatedly
Get out there and have a go.. over and over...and over.
Don't get discouraged if you can't nail something straight up.
Success = Time on the water

as per beer hunter. IKitesurf has a good instructional video with a female kiter doing a duck tack. The water in the video is mirror flat and I'd say it was a low wind day with a big kite which helps vis-a-vis kite crashing into water.

Thanks for the replies I've spent some more time studying the video and a mate who was out at the same time has provided some thoughts. Roll on the next session for my next attempts

You've piqued my interest. I'm going to give it a go next time I'm out.

Don't suppose the 'Christian' demoing the move in the mag (www.iksurfmag.com/issue42/?page=87) is one and the same as cbulota by any chance?
