Hey, I'm very new to kiting and after a couple of lessons I'm after some gear. I've found some in the geelong are but as I live in Hobart I'm after someone who knows what they're doing to have a look for me. The guy selling brought it second hand and has never used it but has no idea on kiting. Happy to pay someone for there time!
Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you tried Cash Convertors in Geelong? They usually have entire packages for sale, and the sales people are keen as mustard to get rid of it, as it does take a lot of space.

Thanks for that, I've actually found some gear but after someone to check it out for me and let me know the condition of it. As the guy selling it doesn't know much about it I can't get much info.

Ask him to take it out of the bag, pump it up and leave it sit for a hour so that he can check if it leaks or not (simple squeeze test)

While it's pumped up, get him to look for repairs/patches (they are easy to spot as they are usually different colour) and take some photos.

Most kites have serial numbers as well, so ask for photos of that and the bar and lines, get as many photos as possible and post them up here.

ur local kite shop may even give an approx. value, then make an offer. If it is hot, the rightful owner may lay claim to it if u post photos on here.

Caveat Emptor!
