I got my first kite cheap beacause there were knots in the lines (as well as some other problems). The best thing to do, is sit down when you're girlfriend wants you to watch a romcom with her, with your bar in the living room, and work on the knots. This is not an exact science, but I've found that it works well. Because the lines have tension through them, the knot will be tight like a tiger. To loosen it up, put it in your mouth and chew on it a bit, not trying to cut it, but get the saliva in the knot and work it round in your teeth to try and soften it up. eventually it should get to a point when the lines are a bit softer because of the saliva etc, and from here, keep picking at one side of the knot, trying to pry it open, if its still to tight, keep on chewing. Failing that, you can take a hammer to the knot, in an attempt to flatten it out, if you can do that, it should expose the loop for you to pull to undo the knot a bit easier. I hope this helps, and post a picture of your smile when you get that knot undone, it took me about 25 minutes on both, and once you do it, you feel like a god

A bit of silicone spray helps heaps, give it a blast a few times before tackling it , also be careful don't throw any big tricks or boosts with knots in y lines as breaking strength is hugely deminished

haha, mate any crap TV- I only say rom com because I trade sitting in front of a two hour rom com for being able to go out on the water for 2 hours, anything to keep the mrs happy! and just wait till you have to start reapairing bladders from smashing your kite after loops, the repairs will never stop as long as you keep taking your riding up a notch each session!
