Many of the surfing brands are good.(Peak, O'Neal, Rip Curl, Billabong etc) Most important thing is to have some sort of smooth windproof skin over the chest and back area, not just thin neoprene. This will minimise wind penetration and keep your chest warm. Wind chill can be a factor when you're out for a couple of hours. For summer short arms and short legs are adequate. I high tight neckline will keep the water from rushing down the front or back. I like to wear a rash vest under my wetty to minimise chafing under the arms and around the neck as well. Colour is up to you.

you can spend a small fortune on a suit I went around tried a few of the big names on O'Neal, Rip Curl, Billabong any ting from $300 up to like $700

im thinking $700 thats like 2 lessons or a board, half a kite I ended up getting one off ebay $89 works fine actually fits better then the ones i tried on and am very happy with it come summer i can afford to buy a shorty!if needed

this is what i got http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-CBI-Steamer-3-2mm-Wetsuit-Mens-Wet-suit-/180707970246?pt=AU_Sport_Surfing&hash=item2a1308ccc6

Westsuits long arm/short leg combo. Woodies are selling them for abround $100. You lose most of your heat from your head. Buy a neoprene wetsuit hood for the colder days and youre as warm as toast.
