Hey,

I am looking at buying a kite and have had mixed recommendations. I am nearly 120kg but will be down to 110 at the lightest in next few months. I am tall so won't get under that. My friend rides with Fuels (9,11,15m) and recommends i go for a 17m fuel. Others think that's way over powered for a beginner. Have been recommended 13m Waroo and other's recomend 15-17m cabrinha's too. I wanna get going hard but don't wanna be out of control or struggling with something that's just no good for someone my weight.

If there are any big fella's out there with some recommendations would be much appreciated.

14m SLE or Bow

10m SLE Bow

The 17m Fuel is a pig of a kite to fly.

As BWD said a 14m bow/ hybrid.. after that you can start increasing board size to gain bottom end.

17m+ ( there were even a few 21m ) kites are really a thing if the past the more modern kites are far more efficient

A mate of mine was 120kg ( we don't call him Buddha for nothing) when he started a about 4 years ago he used a 14m switchblade.
He has now clearly lost quite a bit and weighs about 105 and still uses the 14 in lighter winds and a 10m in about 20+ knots.

Nope, QLD!

15m Fuel is slow and lazy.

Best getting a 14m Hybrid like a Catalyst, Rebel, Evo, or similar

A bigger board will also assist in lighter winds
