I don't know what a lot of the terms are used in this sport/forum. Feels like a new language learning kitesurfing same as like when i was learning Macromedia Flash Actionscript to make web sites. I didn't know what QR was until it dawned on me that it's probably for "Quick Release" but often i'm lost reading the forum!

I'm not sure if this is a word used around the traps already but after a couple of death rolls up the beach and not sure if i was going to live or die and seeing a hole lot of danger i personally coined the term "Terraflying" the other day.

Is there a progressive thread or article with commonly used terms related to this sport. I'd like to read through it, review it, learn it so i can better talk/communicate in the forum?

Also while i'm at it and a newbie... really curious as to where to go to best body drag in locations country Victoria or ocean/lakes etc. I list of locations might be here somewhere. I've searched around and can't find both the above anywhere!

and here's the other
www.greenlivingpedia.org/Victorian_kitesurfing_locations

the wind on lakes tends to be gusty and dangerous, too much wind shadow from trees and hills.

there are a few other maps in existence but this list looks fairly comprehensive

That's a great shame they look smoother and no worries of sharks, stingrays, jelly fish, currents wave dangers etc. Greens Lake near Bendigo is ok they say.

Is it only dangerous for on the board because i only want to body drag for ages i'm not even thinking about getting on a board yet!?

Once you can get back to the same spot on the beach which you left while you were body dragging you are ready for the board. You will master the body drag with all the time looking for your board when you fall of it :)
