Hey guys,

i missed the last 2 weeks as the weather is crap down here in Syd during the weekend, 25th-26th Oct.
This weekend i'm heading down to Jervis bay and would love to get recommendation of who to do lesson with down there.

Already contacted Kitesurfing Connection but haven't heard back? MIA?
Contacted Kite Burra apparently something about the pond dried up or flooded.. can't remember which but can't do.
Contacted Dr Surf.. he's connecting me with his mate but i'm looking for an alternative just in case if it didn't go through :)

Thanks peeps!

Jervis Bay Kite Connection is your best bet, I did hear he was on a bit of a holiday and I'm not sure when he'll be back, but he is your best bet so check again maybe at the end of the week.

I don't think Dr Surf is an IKO instructor, if that's important to you. So double check.

I am wondering the same thing about IKO vs non-IKO certification. I know some guys don't have IKO certification and teach it quite well. Is IKO worth it really?

Had a lesson with this guy name Alistair and he was amazing! I think he's iko... *think*

But for the price I paid him and all the things I learned (up to body dragging) was pretty awesome.

Had a lessonwith kite power today and the instructor deem to be happy with all the skills I learnt.

I learnt at a kite resort in Boracay where all the kiters had to be IKO certified to ride at that beach. Getting on the board is one thing - that you can learn, managing yourself when things go wrong is another. I thought the instructors know what to look for, and they have to teach it as part of the course.

IF there is no reference point for kiting safely when things go wrong for beginners everybody will get told to get lost at the nice places to kite, everyone loses.

Yep Due to recent rains overflowed the lake and all water drained out leaving the old lake empty, so learning to body drag in 5cm of water makes it hard to teach. Except down back of lake which is a 1klm walk through sludge and weed with no place to setup.

Sand spit has terns nesting and NSW national parks like to keep distance from this area.

I can still do all your intro lessons etc. Give us a call and we will chat.
