Hi guys !
I've read a lot of interessant things here ( maybe too much...) about kites.
But I will need a second kite to complete my Evo. It must be a higher wind kite, and my program is like freeride with freestyle ability. I'm not riding unhooked yet, and I'm not really going in the waves.
I'm 177cm for 75kg, and I will ride it with a 2014 50/fifty 138 by 39.5.
My first idea was an other one EVO, easy because I have already the bar.(I ride it on 5 lines). But 8 or 9m ? Does that make a big difference ?
What about the dice, switchblade, park, RPM or anything else ?
I would some interessant reviews, far to the commercial world of shops or builders website...
Thanks guys !!
Max.

I'm also curious about the catalyst...
I know it's a lot of kites, but it's really hard to make a choice, or test everything...

your basicly the exact same size as me, my high wind kite is a 8m Vegas and id say i can usually get it out there in anything 17k or above, Vegas are a really nice kite to fly and you know you wont be limited down the track when you start kiteloops or unhooking. I was a bit weary at first buying one as ive heard they have less depower, but once i flew it ive never been too overpowered up to 30k. to me it seems just as good a freeride kite as any other bridled kite ive flown. I went from an old best waroo to the vegas. They Use the same bar as your Evo too so youll only need the kite

Thx mate ;-)
What about relaunch and upwind ability with the vegas ? Does it allright to ride a 8m vegas with 24m lines ?

Mine came with 19m lines and i added 5m extentions and it works just as good with slightly better bottom end. Relaunching is easy whether you have it on freestyle or wakestyle settings. Just pull a steering line just like all my other kites. And upwind seems fine also as long as you have enough power to plane. To me its just as easy to use as any other kite. My combo was actually 8 vegas and 12 fuse, no problems with a 4m gap. I just use one for big floaty air and one for kiteloop tricks

Looks like a good combo for me. I will test one when the wind will be stronger... Thx
Any other advice ?

Not really hey, Maybe if your using a 2012 or older just check the wingtip battens ar in it otherwise the wingtips can fold on hard turns and feel like a jellyfish, took me a while to figure out what was happening, ended up just making a couple out of an alloy rod. Worked perfect ever since. Have no idea why they were out in the first place. Let me know how it goes, hope you like it.

Ok. Thx.
Anyone else riding RPM, C4 can said if it is enough versatil to use it in freeride as well ?
Then my choice will go to what I will find at the better price at my local shop.
Thanks guys.
