Everytime I go out now I end up with whiplash from a fall, today was a messed up backloop kiteloop from height, landed shoulders first from 20ft up.
Before Xmas it was a messed up raley, managed to somehow spin and landed backwards.
And before that I wiped out going flat out and nose of my board caught, almost done a face first cartwheel.

I'm always picking up the same injury, takes a good 10 days for the pain to go and movement to return.

I'm trying to nail these moves but I can't keep injuring myself as its starting to knock my confidence.

Any ideas other than don't fall?
Or is this what happens when you get older?

The sad fact is everything just hurts more as you get older. I broke my collarbone in March mountain biking and had an ankle reconstruction done 5 months ago and I have been back kiting just over a month now. I still limp off the beach and my ankle aches the following morning but the pleasure I get from kiting makes it worth it. If pushing yourself is what makes you feel alive then keep going for it when you pull that move off you have been striving for the satisfaction always outweighs the pain. Otherwise, impact vest, helmet, ice packs and deep heat should see you right.

I've had whiplash twice over 6 years . Its a scary injury . Back 1st into water at speed.
Maybe neck exercises ? Lighter helmut ? No pillow when sleeping during recovery.

Build up your neck muscles and get a good physio.

A good tip I had was to master one trick at a time. Won't necessarily stop injuries but speeds up the learning curve.
