Hi all,
Hoping someone can give me tips to help me with that. ;)
Why my thighs hurts so badly, it fews I'm doing squats non stop, is this because I'm not trowing my body back as much as I should.
I'm not the fittest man in the world, but my legs are fit enough to not have any issues with that, but I'm still trying to master upwind and I believe that's the issue.
Thank you

Your trying too hard, not relaxing , ski squats if your going to do squats to strengthen, cycling too, find a short hill and hit it up in bursts, do a day, skip a day
In 3/4 weeks you'll feel the difference
If you put in the effort
Getting on a sup early on gave me plenty of lower limb pain, till I relaxed

Yep relax and go with it.
Side note cycling/mountain biking makes for excellent cross training for leg strength.
I simply cannot make my legs hurt kiting.
Extra side note. It may be that you a using muscles you haven't used before much. They will get used to it over time.

Before you hit the water, try rubbing vaseline onto your legs, and jogging on the spot at 100% intensity for a few minutes.
It prob wont help with the problem your having, but all the other guys at the beach will think you look like you know what you're doing

I agree your trying to hard getting all tense it will pass when your competent at going upwind understand edging better. + 1 for riding a bike I do 20 kms 3 times a week ( no lycra and no bell) certainly notice the endurance level improve.

I had the same problem for months as a beginner. Learning to relax your legs and lean out against your harness really helped me. I also was able to edge alot better when i move off the large beginner board I was on to one with more concave.
