Hey,

Just picked up an Airush Lithium and got out briefly yesterday.

Now I have read what I can about trimming the kite, but I've just got a question that may or may not be standard behaviour on the trim handles.

When I pull on the blue "more power" handle it moves towards me but as soon as I release it, the strap seems to slide and the handle retracts back to where it started.

Is this normal? The wind was so light I'm not sure I could tell the difference when I pulled on the trim one way or the other.

Thanks

Hi mate.

Pulling the blue handle to give more power. This is done in three stages, so its pull and release, pull and release and pull and release, you will be at max power.
When pulling the red handle, less power, this one is done in one step.

Hope it helps, sweet kites!!!

If the depower is working, you should see a loop form in one of the black straps - this has the effect of shortening the front lines. The more depower you apply, the bigger the loop.

If the loop disappears when you release the red depower handle, the buckle system that is supposed to set the dower adjustment may be faulty. If this is the case, take the kite back to the supplier.

I have had no trouble with mine (Lithium 12, now also a 9). Its much easier to adjust than the 2009 Cabrinha equivalent system.

Thanks guys, that's helpful. I'll test it out again and if I'm still unsure I'll head down to the shop.
