i know it has been talked about before what is a good flying kite for 30kg kid most of the small kites are for high wind adults when they get 12kn - 20 kn they dont fly the best . Any body got a good answer a kite that flys good in the above wind and flys forward in the wind window .
Many thanks Sam

Its a tough one. Ive found that at 30kg you will need to find a 4-5m that can be ridden on 16-20m lines.

hi im 12 years my favorite setup is a north evo 4 or 5 metre with 25 metre lines. with my 4 my wind range is 15knots to 35 knots. i have tried alot of other kites but north are the only good brand for kids.

5m RRD OBSESSION this is the kite i stated off with and i still ride it in 25-35 knots. when i started last year i thought this was the best kite to learn on. its safety system was the best and it wasn't slow in fact it was quite fast. i use 25m lines on this kite. now i'm at the intermediate level and im able to still ride this kite and still loving it and i can ride unhooked on it and do kite loops. if your interested speek to john at SOS SURF in fremantle WA or email him

junior pro

my 8yold is 22kg nowdays and has no problems useing it in winds down to around 14/15 with an old 130cm, or 18/19 on her 115cm. I also have a 2m ocean rodeo 4 line trainer that we pull out over 25 with the same junior pro bar/lines. The relaunch on the j/pro is a no brainer in winds over 14 - itll just sit on the window edge waiting.

I've got a lightly used 6M 2010 Switchblade, complete for $750, and I may have a new 2009 5M Ozone Sport+ which would cost less. I've got customers with young kids learning on both of these kites.

Almost all pump up kites in the size you will need won't relaunch in light winds, especially ones with more than 3 struts.

Take a look at the Flysurfer Viron. Auto relaunch, flys in hardly any wind and excellent safety.

the evo is a realy good relaunch, you don't pump them up as hard and you have to use the fifth line to launch them.
