I'm about to buy my first board-fairly new to kite surfing, but I've wakeboarded and land kited a fair bit. I'm not sure what kind of length board to go for. I'm about 85kg and 6 foot 3. I Didn't have any trouble getting up on my friend's 135 the other day when I tried it, but couldn't stay upwind (although fairly underpowered and choppy so might have been that).
All the stuff I've read says 140 ish for my kind of weight. I'm happy that I'm not going to be loading up massive jumps for a while, and want something I can progress fast on. Having said that, I don't want something that's going to be holding me back by the end of a 2 week holiday!
Any advice? At the moment I'm swaying towards something around the 140 mark with good resale value...

Yeah around 138-140, to progress fast get a board with a low rocker and maybe a bit of flex opposite of a wakeboard will make it easier to get riding.
I have got a board for sale that ticks those boxes...

140 size board at your weight and experience would be fine.
Based on your wakeboarding, we would suggest to look at a mid range board, not a beginners board to get a little more performance out of it. Once you get your edging down, you can step up to a proper wakestyle board with lots of rocker.
