gidday all. looking at getting a bigger board and need some advice. I am 100kgs and 186cm. Using a 16m North Vegas but thinking I need a bigger Board. Mostly 15 - 20 knots here...and while I am here does anyone use sailing gloves. My (soft office) hands are taking a thrashing pulling centre lines to relaunch....OK you can stop laughing now...

Hi Stumbles, what size board are you currently riding. I'm 93kgs and 182cm and ride a 137 x 41 TT with a 11m North Rebel (>15knots) or a 14m Havoc (>13knots) .....or more recently for lighter conditions I use a monster door 166 x 50 with the Rebel.

get a sector. could no doubt pickup a cheap v2 52 or 60 or wait for a v3 54 or 60

Hey Bazinga - measured up the Gonzales and it comes in 143 x 40 so I am thinking I need to improve my technique not get a new board...

100kg, 16m vegas, 143 board? Defo don't need a bigger board. It doesn't matter whether others use them, if you like sailing gloves, go for it.
