hey guys!

i love my skimboard when it's light, as i get out with my 9m sst when others are on their 12 and 14s..

what tends to happen tho is when i try to do a heel to toeside carve, is that i slip out. i can't really get the edge in the water to really push, as i can with my surfboard. any advice?

does anyone carve with a skim on flat water (finless)? where do you place your feet?

he is sometimes riding along with his back feet in front of the pad and then steps back to carve.. will try that..

but you keep the front foot in the middle right?

what is your take on carbon skimboards? are they too stiff or are they worth it?

at the moment i'm on a eden skimboard e-glass. it's a french brand. in europe skimboarding isn't really big so we don't really have shops here but there are some spanish and french custom board brands that build cheap and good skims you can customize (material, foam, size etc).

as my surfboard broke and i don't really have the money at the moment to buy a new one i just ride my skim (or will ride, my ACL is not fully recovered yet). but as i liked that thing, it would be pretty cheap to get a top skimboard, as i travel one month with it in october to tarifa (low- high wind, small to medium waves). i'm still not sure if it's a good idea, but i'd certainly learn a lot on it when i just bring the skimboard.. ;)
