hey guys i was just wondering what you think about lessons and stuff when getting started? i live in karratha up north of WA and don't know of any kiteboarders in the area. but i'm keen to get into it, so is it possible to get a kite and a board and get stuck in? i have a background in wakeboarding and skating, so ive been sideways for a bit.... any help or recommendations would be sweet as!

Get a trainer kite and learn to fly a kite really well before you even think about getting the kitesurf kite.
Try to get a lesson or two it could save your life.

I think Carrie (Elemental Kiteboarding) is still up your way.
