Hi I havent been kiting long but love it, just bought a second kite for higher wind.
The kite is a Best Yaga 9m 06model
The kite has no bridal so direct conect to kite is the only way to go think its call a C kite in this mode, the kite has a 5th line installed which atatches to the center of the leading edge for safty line.
Can i remove this line and just attatch my leash to one of the steering lines???
I just want the kite to flag when the leash has to be used.

Hey Steve,

If the kite was designed and set up to fly with five lines the safest option for you in the beginner stage would be to go with the recommended set up.

The safety leash will normally attach to a safety ring or certain safety attachment point, i wouldnt mess with that or you could have no safety depower system available when you need it.

If you feel the 5th line is not working correctly then maybe the 5th line is now faulty and depowering the kite when it shouldn't.

You can change 5 lines to 4 but need some know how to make sure this is done correctly. I would take the kite to a best dealer/distributor and ask them, even your local kite shop might help you out.
