Hey guys and girls
I am looking at used 2010 kites 9 -10 meters
(I'm 80kg and perth based)
I want something that is easy as to fly for a beginner and still good for when you get more advanced.
must be easy relauchable and well built to last
don't ever see myself doing unhooked kiteloops or anything , but waveriding looks fun.
a bit of an allrounder really, not something that'll spank you at any opportunity.
been highly recommended the ozone catalyst
just wondering what you'd recommend from any of the other larger manufacturers , I should be having a look at. (particularly slingshot and north)
cheers

Definitely a switchblade, have a Switchblade 2, only had two lessons two years ago
Put the gear away after lessons
Started again this season and was board riding on my first attempt and am jumping in under two months. Kite is really predictable and has good control

The truth is there are plenty of brands and models of kites out there that would suit all of your seeking criteria. There is just too much Hype around kites these days and people will just recommend to you what they have and you'll end up getting what sounds the most convincing and/or the kite that you heard the most about. What really makes the difference in how fast you will progress is not the kite you end up with but how much time and effort you will be putting in progressing and if you're lucky, getting some coaching from experienced kiters or hire an instructor, get some video analysis sessions, etc.

If North probably their 4 line Evo, or if Slingshot the RPM or Rally, I prefer the RPM this year. Other brands you could look at would be 2012 Cab Switchblade and Ozone C4 or Catalyst.
