Been searching the classifieds for a lighter wind kite to get me on the water when my 12 mtr SLE boxer doesnt cut it.On a budget the options i'm considering are ,
2008 slingshot rev 15m (my 1st choice]
2007 north rhino 15m (my 2nd choice]
2008 naish torch 16m (believe they have exploding issues]
I'm 90 kg and only have one board at this stage, naish haze 142.
expected wind range to be sub 15 knots (struggle on the Boxer)

Rev 15M would be a good choice, as would the North, but its a C kite and will be much harder to relaunch and 5 lined and also if its a Rhino it should be either 14M or 16M, not 15M.

Other alternatives are Ozone Sport+ 2009/2010 as new, $700 at Kitepower Sydney, and many other larger kites too, including a 17M Slingy TD for $300 includes bar and lines and pump.

Torch is also C kite and prob would avoid it as it has issues you mention and a dodgy one pump system

2007 North Rhino isn't a C kite but yes it won't be 15m.

you also need to pair with a light wind kiteboard or a directional to get the most of the kite. If you go for a freerace board then you dont need huge kites.

Any choice that you will make for the kite combined with the correct board will give you fun on low winds.

As for zephyr (2010) with core riot xr LW , the first had more low wind power and could build better apparent the second was gruntier , turned faster and made better jumps
