I would like to do backrolls from toeside. While normal backrolls work consistently, I have no clue even how to start one from toeside. They look actually more artistic than regular backrolls. When going toeside I seem to have to try hard to stay upwind, leaning strongly to the upwind side and keeping bar and kite low. If not I would not go upwind. It seems impossible to pop from this position and get even enough air to jump back to heel side... not to mention enough pop for a backroll... Is it just me or do other folks also find this non-trivial. Grateful for hints.

Send your kite to 12 super fast and it will up you out of the water. To initiate the roll, simply look in the direction you want to rotate (works for every trick)
If you feel you need more air time to complete the trick, loop your kite. Simple

Hey Ralfy.
Its all in how you hold your bar. When you are toeside with the bar in front of you the pull from the kite will be twisting the front of the board downwind, if you hold the bar to your hip and as far back as you can it will be pulling the tail of the board and help keep you facing into wind. Edge as hard as you can with your toes as you pop. A small wakelet to pop off helps as well.
Hope this helps
