When you can ride back to where you started from,
when you can self rescue,
when you know the rules on the water,
when you can safely rig your own kite without asssitance,
when you know what the trim strap is for,
when you can return to the beach with a dry kite,
when you no longer burn your eyeballs from staring at the kite

you are no longer a beginner.

To all you intermediate and advanced riders out there. At what stage in your development did you deem yourself to progress from "beginner" to intermediate???

when i finished all the tricks on the intermediate kitesurf dvd

then i got to the professional dvd and deemed myself a beginer again.
