I know this has probably been covered before but I have got a Ozone c4 11mts 2011 kite and it says pump it up too 8psi but my pump does not have a gauge and also I have heard that you should not rely on the gauge anyways. I went down the beach today and it was meant to be 13kts to 16kts. and my kite stalled and also I don't think I had it pumped up enough. I am used to flying my foil kite.

I have the same kite, pump it up until it's hard to bend the leading edge at the crease.

I have trouble with my 11m in those windspeeds. it's very unstable, you need to keep it moving otherwise it will fall out of the sky.

thanks man I also heard you can flick it or something and listen too it but yeah not sure.
I will keep that in mind about moving it around more in them winds it was my first flight today and I was pretty nervous on what I was doing. I weight about 78kg and im 157cm tall what would be good winds for this kite? and I am also a beginner if you have not noticed already

I am 85kg and I find my 11m C4 is only really good in 17knts plus. Otherwise it's just too much hassle.

Maybe this is the wrong advice, but essentially, don't stress it. I use the 'ping' approach. I.e. bounce your finger off the leading edge and if it sounds more like a thud than a ping, it probably needs a bit more.

If you don't put enough in it, you'll know when you turn the kite over after pumping it up, as it will fold like a sandwich.

I was having a play today. is this pumped up too much? to me I dont really notice much difference with the sound but when i put it in the air so standing up the way you would launch it. it stayed up right but when i had less in it it stayed up right but the LE was not as tight

I could be wrong but I think it's fairly impossible to pump up a kite too much with a normal pump. I always go for as hard as I can get it.
