Try pumping up the bladder, then spray some soapy water on it from a spray bottle.

It will foam up where air is escaping.

You could have a smoke first though, as long as you don't get too confused and do something stupid

smokes hard to see and the particles filling your bladder can only deteriate it. air doesnt damage the bladder so just fill it with air and put the bladder in the bath like everyone else you tripper

All electrical components are made of smoke. Once the smoke escapes..... the item is farked.

A better idea is to fill with hydrogen, then run a lighter close to the bladder. You will find the leak soon enough. This will be evidenced by a load bang, shortly thereafter the removal of your eyebrows and bursting of eardrums.

Not a bad idea

Actually this is even wackier - try talcum powder INSIDE the bladder. It's harder with the one-pump systems, but with the more open systems (Cabrinha, Ozone, etc) you can put four table spoons of talcum powder in there and shake it all about.
Pump up the bladder (all valves sealed of course), and watch the little puffs of powder escape from the holes.
No need to water the bladder and create a mess, and it smells great afterwards too!

again particles that can only one day slowly come into contact with the bladder and erode it. but whatever if its a clients bladder theyll NEVER KNOW and ...... REPEAT CUSTOMERS YAAAAYYYY

seriously lofty you remind me of the (fire safety) sprinkler fitters who when called into a complex about a leak simply pour salt all over the hole so that the pipe rusts up and stops the leak.

that is untill the next call out in a few months after theyre warranty

Plus you add weight and make your customers kite heavier and fly worse.... Also you make in more difficult to repair the bladder as yourve now added a contaminant... WTF!

Try it before belching Kiwi. And a few sprinkles of talcum powder weighs less than your snot - do some research before spewing

I have done this before, the easiest way was to use my exhaust pipe kite inflator, but hook it up to my neighbours old smokey 2 stroke lawn mower.
The kite was inflated in no time, and now that the bladder is full of oil residue it hasn't twisted inside the leading edge in ages.
