G'day

Looking for a some smart advice about buying a new kite. I've been using Airush Lithium 2013 12m as a first kite and been really enjoyed by a easy launch and quick turns. Any recommendations? Which new kite is similar like this?

Thank You

There are lot of "this does it all" kites on market. what do you want from your new kite? what you ride most, surf, big air, unhook, free ride. Have you ever consider foil kite?

Do you want that same style of flying the kite as with a lithium? Park and ride and plenty of power?
If not the wave or union if you want to stick with airush. But it's a different style of kite, you need to fly it to generate power (if it's in its lower wind range).

If you are happy with the Lithium get a smaller one (10m) and use the same bar to save money. It's important to not mix bar/safety systems. If you know one system and you have to act quickly to throw the safety you don't want to have think "What bar do I have?"

Good one. Stick to one brand, save some money. Very hard to find another kite via forum suggestions. Try to demo as many kites as you can, then you'll can make good decision.

It takes a couple of seasons of riding to critically evaluate the pros and cons of a kite. Over time your style develops and certain aspects of a kite becomes more desirable. People tend to be passionate about whatever their local shop is offering, which is not necessarily a bad thing since this means local support. By all means demo a few kites but if you've only every ridden one kite keep your decision simple. I can't remember how many kites I've had but each time I've changed brands it has been after a lot of thought.

Go for an Ozone Zepher. I ride mine from 8 - 35kts. Best one kite kit. Turns really well. Even with my cutdown bar.

Extreme.

Err I owe you all an apology for that video. Just had another one of those days when you just don't believe what anyone is saying to be true. I even thought the Lib spill last night was yet another LNP stunt to refocus on how good Abbott really is for Australia. I am so relieved I was wrong!
