hi ,i have a 12m liquid force menace 2006
it has 2 attachment points for the front lines . what do they do to the kites fly style?
it also has 2 at the rear ,my guess is rear most = faster steering , and the one closer the front slower ?
have also extended rear pigtails for some depower . is this the right thing to do ?
trim strap all the way in and still no depower. even at the edge of window .
it doesnt seem to matter where i put the bar .
i suppose it will teach me to edge !or super man

I am a newb with a similar kite i think, so cant tell ya much about the string settings. But if your bar setup has a small amount of travel then i can relate. Its either just windy enough or i get over powered, pretty easy. if the kites high so is my guts from the harness!!!
good luck

hey,
from my trial and error experience - you have it correct with the trailing edge pigtails.
i have a different kite but the front most pigtails seem to give lower bar pressure but a bit less power in the kite. with the second ones in the bar pressure on my kite to keep it powered up is almost unusable, so i haven’t bothered with it since.

Tuning 101

Front pigtails
Front attachment point - more depower, more bar pressure, faster turning speed
Rear attachment point - marginally less depower, lighter bar pressure, more power transferred to the harness as opposed to through your arms.

Rear pigtails
Front attachment point - slower turning speed
Rear attachment point - faster turning speed

Tuning a kite is entirely down to personal preference. If your used to the Vegas then i'd say go front/front and rear/rear. It'll give it as much depower as is possible as well as fast turning speed.
Also keep in mind that an '06 kites lines have probably stretched a bit so it'd be worthwhile checking line lengths for consistency, stretching the rear lines if necessary or compensating front/rear line stretch on the pigtails.

thanks guys for your very helpful info.
1 more question , if the rear pigtails are on there front position ,would that help increase the depower?
dont mind if its a slow turner .

In theory yes, but you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference as the trailing edge of the kite moving an extra 10-15mm won't depower it any significant amount. We're talking ~1-3% more depower.

I see you also posted the same thing over on XK, but i got to it here first.
As RalInn said, better of to learn to stick it on the mid settings of everything then tune it once you've flown it a bit.
