We finally have some 14m kites here in oz and I took one out for a few hours today. In short, it is another little gem as with the 9 and 12. I was wondering if it would be sluggish like the 16 or sweet like the 12 and my conclusion it is like the 12 in all aspects with a bit more balls in the bottom end. Well done and thank you Peter.

dont know what your compairing the 16m waroo to KUSU but mine is definately not sluggish compared to other large kites on the market, but I'm glad to hear the 14m is a performer ...

Hey brownee, how about you pm me to bring up your beef or stfu for once in your life. Thanks.

I refuse to not say what I think and feel about gear - full stop.

You seem to be intent on attacking every comment I make about Best gear if it isn't 'glowing' in nature. I will always be true to form for my self and all people who I kite with and are interested in what I have to comment on.
The 16 is sluggish, slow and lacking in the boosting dept but comes alive a bit more with a big bar, shorter lines and heavier rider.
That's my view. Still a nice kite.

Yes I represent Best and a couple of other brands but that's no reason too pimp or talk up gear if it's not warranted. There in lies the problem with kiting, the internet and people like yourself.

double negative you see, i refuse to not say, so in actual fact if my maths is correct your making a positive.
So in fact what you are saying is in absolute contradiction to what you are saying.
Sorry to be picky.....i might be wrong.

Throw into the equation that I am a rep for the brand and I feel it makes sense reli. No offence taken but I have really had a gutfull of the few people you get on the forums be they brand reps, shop owners or whatever really taking away from the real perspective of a good forum. It's a shame but reality and I refuse to sit back and cop it from now on.

No wind Rellie jks lol . From my knowledge, I think you're right- The 'refuse to' and 'not say' are two negatives which eliminate each other. Therefore what he said was correct in saying that "I refuse to not say what I think and feel about gear ", or in simple terms, 'I say what I think and feel about gear'... aka. He is down the line and says it how it is - *thumbs up* That's something which anyone buying a kite should respect and say 'cheers' for the info

Yeah retailers, biased views, exaggerated descriptions, bad language, insults, and general carry on is bringing the forums down.
Its certianly a pain in the arse....but hey what can you do.....
I suppose "pimping" from those that pay to support the site is easier to take than those who "pimp" without paying.

I live by these simple rules when posting:

  • Any press is good press...
  • Dont reply to attacking posts when you first read them, go have a coffee...

That was not a personal attack KuSu... I actually thought it was more of a question, I have not experienced similar results as I fly my 16m off a 50cm bar strung with 27m lines at a weight of 98 kgs...

The last time I replied to one of your comments, I felt you were giving slightly more colorful information on wind range than what best would have been happy to back up.

you wrote,
quote:
Yes I represent Best and a couple of other brands but that's no reason too pimp or talk up gear

Good to hear an honest opinion from some one who knows thanks Kurt, and i did not hear a bagging of any other brand as some people have taken it.Also i am not a bow kite flyer myself so am not biased. Seems as though some people on here have lost the concept of the sport itself is to have fun not put others down for having a say. Good kiting.

Is there an all in brawl brewing here wooohooo WTG forum
BUT - at the risk of holding back anyones punch :-
Actually when Kurt says "I refuse to not say what I think...." Kusu is not technically guilty of committing the grammatical 'double negative' sin.
Refusing to NOT say is not saying that he didnt never say or that he didnt not say or even that never did not say. Its just saying that he is saying that he insists on saying but saying it a different way if you get what Im saying
But who are we to say poor rellie is too full of pies & guiness for us to be sure he could get anything right & Im too full of scotch to explain clearly why he might be wrong

So anyhow - back to the real topic ....
Give me a 16M flat kite - any brand of 16M flat kite - that isnt sluggish and I'll ....? ..... ? .... ? Well - I'll never not give it back - thats what I'll not do.
