sounds like more BS to me, he could hav done alot better job in explaining the tech.... just another reason to charge more money!!!

i thought deformation of the leading edge was a negative thing as it changes the profile of the kite when turning, def for kiteloops anyway....

Shannon Best's thought's of twister tech and Nemesis HP

just another reason to charge more money!!!

Nemesis HP is slightly cheaper this year in oz then it was in 2008....not sure what you are on about.

Theres no deformation of the LE. The Twist tech simply makes the kite turn more effectively. No BS.

Abesy, I'm pretty reluctant to believe it all to

If you watch the promo vid closely you see the LE fold on a crash where those twisters are. That would mean a kite that jelly fishes if you asked me. But I guess under normal load when the kite is in the air, the LE holds its rigidity?

Still, its a great looking innovation. I guess time will tell if that extra weight and stress points will pay off.

could well lead to a more floppy kite- the 08 nem needed to be pumped to the max to help maintain its shape!

The vid does show a fair bit of shape collapse, any points on that Joe?

Will we need an electric pressure pump to have it hard enough?

Hey mate,

I have ridden Best kites for 4 years now and from the beginning when Cuben Fibre was used in the Yarga Pro's. There is no denying that all Cuben kites need to be and can be pumped up hard (10psi). Some see this as a downside, but the benefits of reduced drag and better upwind ability out weigh it. Anyone who kites aggresively puumps there kite hard. Most other manufacturers recommend 8psi.

Having Twister tech in the LE does not cause any loss of strength at all. It simply allows the kite to twist. I have been testing the new Nemesis HP for some 3 months now and have not had any prob.

There is no electric kite pump on the market that pumps over 8psi,(as far as I know) so no, you wont need an electric pump. Any normal kite pump will pump to
these pressures.

You need to check out one of these kites in the flesh, this is not a gimmick, the system actually benefits the performance of the kite both in turning speed and turning efficiency. At the end of the day it is your choice of what you ride, but I am still hooked on these kites as they are the better performimg kites on the market.

Klopf, you are in Mackay? Come in and check one out. We only have one demo at the moment but have all the 09 gear arriving in the next week or so.

try a bravo electric portable bump over 11 psi 500 lpm then clicks over to 150 lpm high presure automaticaly.
originaly made for pumping inflatable boats. you get 4-5 pumps on a single charge for a typical 12m kite.
cheers

would BEST still cover the warranty if the kite goes "BOOOM!" with that pump? Great idea cuz they're def hard to pump hard enough!
