Graham at Choice Kiteboarding was kind enough to lend me his brandspanking never before used new 11m Rev 09 on Saturday 30 August.

I figured I would just say a few words.

I tested the kite at Woodies. The wind was on average 15 knts or lower. I was unable to fully test the kite in this wind. I used my 08 bar so I cant comment on the new 09 bar.

This new Rev is pretty much the same as the 08 kite apart from a few minor differences:

1. It is even more stable in the sky than the 08.

2. The bar pressure is slightly higher than the 08. There is the ability to increase it but I did not try.

3. Its performance is higher than the 08. I found the 08 Rev quite forgiving when I botched a kiteloop, the 09 Rev is not nearly so forgiving.

4. I cant comment on serious boosting as the wind was lacking, but I can safely say it is about the same as the 08 for light wind jumping.

5. Unhooked performance is once again very similar to the 08 although I can say that my 08 Rev was inclined to try and fly backward in light wind where as the 09 does not.

6. Build quality: as always sligshot build quality is brilliant.

7. Graphics: way more attractive than the 08.

8. Relaunch: Did not dare drop it in the water.

Overall impression: Great kite. I really dont have anything negative to say about it at all. I would like to try it with a bit more wind to really get a complete idea about it.

Hi guys
Had the rev 2 out in a gusty 25 knots the other day and i still had a bit of range left, felt verry smooth for the conditions. I got it wet just to test the relaunch even better than last year but only a little.
Have fun
GEORGE
