Anyone gone from the 2012 to 2013 reo ? Flew an 8m 2013 other day and loved it just wondering whether I save some cash and get 2012 or if the 2013 has had some good improvements.

Unfortunately no 8m 2012s around to demo anymore it seems

Just to add to that I have started to use it on the 6m bar(47cm) and prefer it.

I had the opportunity to change up to the 2013 Reo 10m from the 2012 model. No real difference in flying characteristics, which is as expected as it is the same canopy shape and bridle setup. Remains an awesome kite.

The differences lie in the colours, materials and reinforcing, they have beefed up the internal leading edge stitching, run a dacron strip across the margin of the canopy closest to the leading edge, and added dacron rubbing patches on the tops of the struts.

I was happy to move up as I figure a little bit of extra strength is always a good thing in a wave kite, and I prefer a brighter coloured kite for visibility at sea.
