I'm home sick so have decided to post reviews on the gear I have been testing for the past month.
The latest dedicated freestyle board from airush the T3 has been put through it's paces up here in Geraldton/Pt Gregory and I'm happy to say I now have a dedicated freestyle board that I like. I was on the Protoy 05 before breaking it and then jumped on an 06 protoy to discover it's a completely different board to the 05. I didn't like it and if you have one and it's not working for you, run a bit of wet n' dry paper along the rail to give it a slight 45 to get rid of the sharp rail. It doesn't have a clean wrapping water release on landings, making it really skatey and difficult to keep an edge.
Just my opinion though.
The T3 however is skatey but easy to bury the rail to get back control. It feels a lot more like a wakeboard with the flex pattern being between the feet. It doesn't bottom turn (laughing) on a wave as i discovered with quite a bit of embarrassed laughter at myself for even trying. But then it's not for the wave environment, But hey, I had to try.
What I love about this board is how soft the landings are. The rails and ridges and things along the bottom must create some kind of cushioning of air on landings as it's simply a plush soft board to land.
It's also really easy to throw around toeside and blind without that sudden "woosh!" as your board skates away from under you. I would strongly suggest it to anyone wanting to learn toeside/blind riding, it helps you "cheat" a bit by being so nice to slide around without without scary fast spots on the bottom.
I must admit that I purchased this board specifically for kickers and sliders and haven't tried it on either yet. Those test results come in July when I get back fromt he wake park in Germany.
Oh, and I didn't notice a great deal of difference riding this board without fins. It's a great set-up for that and should lend itself nicely to kickers and sliders.
Hope it helps

hey. i've had this board for over 2 weeks now and i;'ve been able to test it in tons of varied conditions... its a really good light wind board to but i find its a bit harder to pop then some other boards in light wind... but when your powered as you should be this board it awsome i'm completly in love with it.. i also ripped off the straps and put on some bindings... but as said its so easy to land blind on this thing and i've done the highest s-bends ive ever done on it..
