Hi Wayler,
There was a 13m on our beach about a fortnight ago, the guy was halfway through inflating it when the leading edge bladder exploded, left a hole in it and the leading edge 10-15cm's. Hate to say but compared to Naish, North, Slingy etc it looked cheap.
Constant winds,
Baz.

One of my fiends has the 9m Raptor, they're an Aussie company and don't seem too bad, havn't had much of a shot on it so I can't really comment, and yes I think they may be cheaper but the quality definetly seems allright,
Enjoy

I've taken out an 06 13m Raptor about 4 or 5 times. Shop demo that I'm borrowing. So far I haven't had any problems with its construction. Seems much the same as other kites I've used in the past, but I'm no expert on seam construction, etc...
The 13 seems a bit finicky in less than 15 knots (leading edge really flares out near the wing tips), but I think I just need a bit more time to sort line adjustment out. However, over 15 knots and the kite feels solid and stable in the air. It turns fairly quickly and there isn't too much bar pressure. I think it's a forgiving kite and has good depower. I would consider myself an "advanced beginner" and was able to stay out on the water the other day when it was gusting up to 25 knots. I weigh 68kg and was riding a 126x37.5 board. All-in-all I think they are good value for an 06 kite, considering what you pay for them complete. Hope this helps.
