@kyteryder - i didn't realise some brands stuck with a C kite design - i (wrongly) assumed that the bow/SLE kite design was the newer, better kite design - at least that's what my instructor told me - he said to stick with bow kites and i don't think he meant that just because i'm a beginner...
@Kitehard - i really appreciate the effort you went to with the detail in your reply! Very valuable info for me - i think after i get a bit better i should travel a bit and try a few more kites out... wouldn't mind a bit of a holiday to WA anyway :)
The school i used have ties with a certain shop - so because that shop stocks mostly Cabrinha, all the training gear is Cabrinha so i guess you could forgive me for wanting to stick with what i know - although i have heard a few people with a preference (strong preference) for North...
Thanks again everyone - it's really fun, i love it but progress quickly from a history of sports kites, sailing, surfing and snowboarding so want something that i will enjoy using when i am not so noob :)
