Theres some super exciting boards coming out of DSD Intel. The Stallion looks and reads like it's the ultimate board for what we all normally kite; mush with the occasional lip to slash. Also the new BWS board by them seems so legit.

Whos got one one and what do you think?

The construction is light years ahead of your North's and other brands. They ride well. I'd go the over head board though unless you are kiting bay slop.

What you've heard is 110% correct - I've been riding the BWS Stallion 5"2 as a thruster for a 2 months and it is all it has been talked up about... perfect for our small waves / cross on conditions, outstanding performance as adveristed!! the structure is made extremely well from strong but light XPS / epoxy which will out last any other production board on the market... awesome boards - there's now 4 of us riding the Stallions at our local ...

"Contrary to popular myths, many stallions do not live with a harem of mares. Nor, in natural settings, do they fight each other to the death in competition for mares. Being social animals, stallions who are not able to find or win a harem of mares usually band together in stallions-only "bachelor" groups which are composed of stallions of all ages. Even with a band of mares, the stallion is not the leader of a herd, but defends and protects the herd from predators and other stallions. The leadership role in a herd is held by a mare, known colloquially as the "lead mare" or "boss mare."

Well there you go, I learnt something today...

congrats on the BWS "bachelor group" nulla!

Hi All

iv been riding these boards for about 2 years, they are from a dutch company called, appletree, then dst took over the shipping, they have a kite factory in the philos as well.

BWS now have the rights to the stallion but appletree are still making them.

i suggest you look at there other rangs of boards, im riding a couple of the full carbon boards and they are amazing

the stallions are awesome, just dont land flat in airs, as they are stiff they can crack on the rail, but they are incredibly stong

feel free to message me for more info and how to get them here for less $$$$

Maybe you can enlighten us all here on your inside knowledge..... I'm sure the shops who would be keen to stock them would like to know and likewise for BWS/DSD.

i found after years of working in the kite industry that no matter what you make, you will struggle to sell a directional for anything over $1200.

If its $1049 US it's going to blow out when it gets to aus.Sad, they look wicked and the construction sounds wicked.

I would struggle to spend more than 600-700 on any brand new directional, but then some do. The less you pay the more fun it is.

BWSurf Aust sold all stock, they went like hot cakes and they have more boards on order, larger shipment but will be a few months away......enquire online at BWSurf.com.au
