I want a board to use in the surf. Ive got a Crazyfly 128, but its not the best for the chop.
Heard lots on the Airush Hammer ? anyone got any recommendations.
and where in Oz can you get Airrush boards.

thanks

Hey,
I took the 06 137 hammer for a spin yesterday, little bit light but the board is awesome. Nice smooth ride, and tracks well through the turns, even my dodgy turns . Will post a bit more of a review when i get a decent shot. I beleive AIrborne Kitesurfing and Windforce both stock them,
Thanks
Matt

Go The Hammer!!!

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago.

I had a quick crack on a mates Hammer and after liking what I found got my own and after my first decent session in the surf knew I'd made the right choice.

Brilliant little board thats great in the chop and even better in the waves.
Don't bother looking for a second hand one, no one seems to get rid of them but if you get in quick Airborne still have an '06 model for $899 instead of $1150 for the '07 and the only difference is th colour

Have fun.

I took an Airrush Hammer away for last weekend to Wedge.
Its a sweet little board.
After thinking "i'll just give it one go then swap back" i kept it under my feet all weekend.
It rides waves beautifully, drives hard as good as a surfboard, great upwind, loads up lovely.
My only criticism was that it felt a bit sticky when doing sliding turns, but that might just be because of the big fins.

The hammer can be a bit "sticky" in transitions. The simple cure is to put a set of 40mm fins the front. Works a treat for me. Best board by far in the waves.
