JESUS!!

Im sold

Just came in from riding the Havok 10m in 15k gusty crappy westerly wind
I had the 12 with me aswell but wanted to give the kite a real test , underpowered etc.

This kite is so smooth, first main notice was that it shot upwind straight away, you get so much power out of the first swing that up just shoot up.

Bar pressure is so light, and I mean light, lighter than the switchy. Kite seems to create so much board speed that it just breaths so easily, so guys that like board speed will love it.

Turns quick, and generates heaps of gas , it just dosent have that ****ty drag feeling at all.

My background is definately in the wakestyle ( 7 years), and I love it coz its so throwable yet has so much speed, the best of both worlds.

Im not going to write heaps of tech **** , just want people too know this is a serious contenter for best kite, and not a slow dog
Im sure there are going to be heaps out there this season

Enjoy

Hey, has anyone tried the 14m Havoc? I have had 3 greats sessions on my 10m Havoc and can't believe how much I like it.
I had the 14m out in VERY gusty/light winds the other day and just didn't click with it. I'm used to c-kites and it kinda felt the same, couldn't depower in time and was either over or under powered. It's PROBABLY me, but has anyone tried the 14m Havoc compared to the other sizes and has any feedback?
Are all sizes similar or are there some that are sweeter (10m anyone)?

Thanks,
kusu

I've tried the 8,10,12 and 14 so far.
The 14 is still a nice kite with all the great points of the other sizes, but does definately have the attributes of a bigger feeling kite. Eg a bit slower and less responsive. If you could get away with it, I would go for a 12 and a bigger board option, or maybe use a bigger bar with the 14 if you went that way I reckon.

I'd have to agree, had the 10m and 12m Havoc out last weekend and had a blast!
They are so easy to boost, and they go HUGE! I'm 95kg with a 135 in 20-35kn on the 10m. I found it behaved well in the gusts that were out side of it's wind range, no giggilin around and spasticating itself when you edged hard against it. I'd say it's got better low end than the Helix, not as stable and 'fearless' as the ozone in super gusts, but with more depower than the ozone sport. Turns/loops slower than helix, faster than Ozone, with more power than helix and similar to Ozone. Bar pressure is responsive and lght.
Found i could ride towards it easily and it sat back and waited nicely on a wave.
Bridles have got a velcro tab to hold them when you pack it away, which is great. 2 pulleys are 2 too many, but they're big and fixed to the kite. Obviously they are necessary to get the depower and stablity these kites have, so it's a necessary evil.
Bar is just ace. Build is great, allround nice bit of kit.

Yep, serious contender indeed, but they are all so good lately, it's down to the little things these days.
