That's a bit of a worry. In my opinion the only time an inversion is acceptable is if the kite has crashed and gets rolled over by a wave, and maybe if you were riding way over the top end of the kite's range. A messed up jump is something all riders are going to do.
I rode a Sonic for over 100 hours and never got an inversion. I now have a Switchblade II (the Sonic broke) and it is growing on me very fast. I've done lots of really silly things on it and it has not even gone close to inverting.
