Ive just bought a new 07, 9 metre rebel after having a heap of fun with my 07, 12m rebel. The shop told me to use the same bar and lines on the 9 as i had been on the 12. Since using it in semi gusti 20-25kn it is falling out of the sky on any occasion it can. Sometimes inverting and always giving me the sh!ts. Im not experianced enought to fiddle too much with line lenghts but keen to sort this out. Should i get a dedicated 9m bar and tweak the line lenghts. As the kite over flies past my head or just through the window im thinking some additions to the front lines may help..... Also im not too tall and the reach of full de-power on the bar is making my back hurt....Any clues there ? Thanks Dave

Hey cubed

don't be dismayed, the 9m Rebel is a super sensational kite, but it does need proper tuning with the lines, as suggested by poor relative (again thanks for the kudos on my reports) these links all provide the information you need.

Definitely shorten the steering lines as my suggestions on the link for the 9m and the 7m. and most important pump that LE up rock hard. (you take your own risk above manufacturer spec, but 6psi is not enough) also those guages are really just a guide as my new pump has the pressure reading of like 12 psi when I know from experience it is really only 7. I pump my 7m Rebel up to 8 psi and the 9m Rebel to 7 at least, as I say your risk to do this I will not take blame if it bursts. 6psi in the 12m is correct.

On feel the kite LE should be drum tight.

It will fly like a dream with the LE wing tip pigtail shortening too
