Currently riding twin tip and want to buy my first Kite surf board. Need some advise on what brand and size of board to buy. I am an intermediate rider, weigh 85 kg and am 5' 11 in height.

Need an all round board for Melbourne bay area and surf coast wave riding near Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.

Any advise appreciated.

Im currently on my first board, i bought a 5'8 naish fish, i like in the small mushy conditions, as it has a bit of weight to it, doesn't slap around on the waves, nice and stable. and youll get a great deal of use of it, becuase of its solid construction, no heal dents, cracks etc...

You'll find some great benefit in considering a custom board with a little heavier glass from a local surfboard shaper.

Other than that BWS has some great boards if you want off the shelf.

Hi,

Try a north wam. I was given this board to test while in indo by my mate. It was a 6'0. This is a very good all round board. It was easy to ride and did not require a lot of learning to ride again.

I just steeped on the board and it felt like I had been riding it for years.

I would recommend you test one.

PS I ride cabrinah and Blade. Have no vested interest in north.

Just a bloody good board.
