Go the Monk forever - because theres a lot of flex through it, it makes for a soft landing coming down hard from megaloops or high jumps too hot..

Ive got a shin, F-one and nobile - they monks knee friendly.

learn to trim your kite properly for loops so it rotates at max 'speed' not power !!!
It'll catch you better and then start adding more power to it for the Horizontal slackline freefall

Dont think I can in Melbourne, besides I will be happy to go with the advice I get,in my few years of kiteboarding I did only bought the gear without trying it first......as to the above boards I dont thi nk Im going to make a mistake with either,just want to get it spot on with your advice

Have been riding the Supershinn for 2 years and have also ridden the Monk a couple of times. I think if all you want to do is hook in, lock in, and boost kite loops then the Monk will do you perfectly and I'm sure the nice cushioned pads and the flex through the board will help the landings from a height.

If you need unhooked pop performance as well then the Supershinn is the board to go for out of the two. The Supershinn is looser in a skatey way and still offers great shock absorbing characteristics. It's certainly saved me a few times recently.

Consider that the outline of the Monk is tighter than the Supershinn, covering less area so I would expect slighter softer landings on the monk. The Supershinn is wider at the tips and longer for the same width so it offers more pop/spring from the tips. Supershinn also offers better low end due to these characteristics. I'm 80kg and I ride a 135x41 which is perfect for me. If I was on a Monk it would be 132x41.

Thanks EastCC.........the Monk is actually 134x42,but Supershinn 136x42........cant get any other sizes,but so far it looks that the Monk is the board recommended so it should be just fine and the graphics is better too

u can't go wrong with the monk, i use it with my torch & speeds, goes very well upwind,is fast & loads very well and the landings are soft with good grip. ideal for fast riding and boosting

water conditions are a big decision with these boards, if you have more flat water the supershinn is the go, if you have chop and surf the monk is the board, rode both a heap but the monks for me covers more angles than the supershinn, riding the edges youll notice the higher board speed on the monk compared to the sshinn, ive not rode a board yet that can cancel out the power of the edges in its upper windrange without losing an edge like the monk
