Want to buy a golf travel bag but there's no where close to me where i can actually inspect them. Just been browsing the Kitepower site...
Looking at Best big blue travel bag, Best small grey travel bag, Pro Limit etc.
Any recommendations or reviews would be apprciated!
Also looking for a single board carry bag - recommendations?

I have the wipika golf bag, it works pretty well. I've also heard good things about the naish one. Not sure about best, haven't seen theirs yet.

i got the naish one. its great, large wheels for pulling it along, loads of room got compartments for all you kit and everything you need, even a small extension spot for the "long wood" ie bigger boards

I have the gray best one on wheels.
travelled with it for 2 months last summer was great. had a 12,7m 5mm steamer, harness, 127cm board, helmet 2 bars and other bits and pieces in it.
I think the blue best one is to big.

In my opinion the best option is to get a bag that is as light as possible that you can fit your stuff in. all the separate pockets are great but only add to the weight air lines are really strict on extra weight these days. your best bet is to try and find out the dry weight of the bags before you buy one. I worked in europe for a few years and used to take my gear with me everywhere, now I work fly in fly out of perth and my quiver goes with me everytime.

I have the Best grey bag - it holds a lot of gear and seems well built. have not used it yet.

Is it possible to fit 2 boards in the Best grey bag? looks like a nice bag. I got my 138 TT and will be looking to add a 128 or there abouts in the very near future. If not, i think i'll go with the Naish one.

Airlines aren't stupid anymore they do know its not golf clubs you're travelling with!!!
The Cabrinha bag is good. Holds two boards, 4 kites (if factory packed), bars, harness and wetty if needed.

you could probably fit 2 boards in the best bag. Just pack up your kites really tightly.
I travelled on 3 different airlines with it and they all asked me "is that a golf bag?" and I said yes and they had no problems.
Weight is more of a issue, keep it around 20kg and you should be fine

Some airlines are that stupid, slingy golf bag is great well built why else would niaish copy it..
If you want a light a really light board bag with wheels then may be have a look at the mystic gear bag holds heaps and doesn't weigh much at all.
For a carry board bag Mystic venom board bags look hot and do the job like all others.

anyone had the weight from other bags being placed on the kite bag in the planes cargo cause the kites to wear due to any rubbing on itself??

Most of the bags should have a decent plastic frame to prevent this happening.

make sure you pack enough emergency patches, i.e. to fix bladders and what not.
You are usually guarenteed a couple of punctures.

Is that in reference to kiting holidays or actually travelling with your gear on flights???????

I have the best grey bag and I just returned from an overseas, flew Hawaain and Aloha Airlines on this trip trip and used a Cabrinha wake bag 1.40M, it was a much easier trip with the Cab bag, and no questions asked by any airlines either,
Seems like if you keep your bag length under 1.40 you will be fine whther it is marked Golf or not.
The cab works so well because it is rectangular and will conform to fit at least 3 kites and a board and gear without going over 32kg which is the max weight any airline will accept.
Be wary of getting a heavy bag, it just cuts down on what gear you can pack.
I like wheely bags, but if you have a strong back then get an Ozone, they don't have wheels but only weigh 2.5kg empty, anything with wheels will be double that and some.
