hey im looking at a North XRide board. Just trying to find a board that can handle the chop and is ok in small waves. Any comments. Thanks.

Yes the X-Ride is awesome in the chop. It has good flex to soak up the jarring and a full concave to help it hold a nice edge in powered messy conditions.

The rounded rails, nice flex and surf style fins make it more forgiving in waves than the average twin tip.

The boards are sweet. You are welcome to demo our 135 or 141 X-ride if you like.

Has anyone compared the Xride to the Cabrinha Caliber, I'm trying to decide between the two. Anybody elses experience would be appreciated.

I have a 136 calliber, with the new sync backless binding, i demo'd one of darrens X-Rides, and the board are pretty similar, x-ride is a bit lighter, but the caliber carves so well, and the flat middle section is really forgiving for landings. The sync bindings take a bit of getting used to, best to set them up by watching the video on the website, But the x rides staps are really snug too.
Two really good boards and the same price.
Kite addiction stock both and you can trade in your old stick. I got $400 for a 2007 144 switch, and just another $600 for the new board.
