I was at stonker yesterday and they got the first shipment of Sonics in only 11’s…
I was very impressed with the quality of the package, still not 100% convinced bow kites are for me but these looked very nice!

Having had a good look at both I personally think it would be hard to justify paying the extra whack for the Xbow … let me know if you would like to know more or just give Stonker a call and I’m sure they could sort you out with a demo. I think they have more 11's and 14's comming in next week.

I think it would be worthwhile waiting for a few weeks and get the new Airush Halo.

Agreed with IG...about waiting a bit.

I'm looking forward to see what new "rigs" are coming from both companies...hope they are good and interchanable with other bow kites.

I've got an 11m Sonic and its very good. I have not tried the 14m Sonic so I'm only speculating but I doubt if it would have the same bottom end as the crossbow, but I may be wrong. You couldn't go wrong with the 12/16 crossbow combo as they are great kite (so I've heard) and everyone I know that has tried one has rated them highly. I personally like the Sonic but wish they came in a 16m or 17m as well for light wind days for blokes like me who weigh 85kg+. Hope this helps.

I weigh 97 kg ,have been out on the 11 in 12-15 kts with my directional.Really vigilant on the bar pressure and made sure I had plenty of kite and board speed.Have found technique is very important.I reckon the 14 will do the light stuff and be plenty of fun.Not sure about the 10- 12 kt range but really have not found anything yet that you don't need a mortgage for for days that are crud anyway.

Cheers
