My Comments:
Tried 18m 2011 north dyno a couple of weeks ago.wind was 10-15kts mostly around 12 knots ,This season I've spent a hell of a long time on a 17m Contra and this kite in conparison have roughly at same ,maybe a tiny bit more power but was like flying a 13 or 14m in comparison for turning speed and bar pressure. First impression was kite was very well made , light weight leading edge , no one pump ( to save weight) very high aspect ,kite didn't feel like a huge kite , medium bar pressure ,good turning speed ,kite pulls very hard and was very forgiving even when the wind got up a couple of times over 17kts . this kite smashes upwind even in marginal conditions ,Kite was set up as 5 line and has typical north bar quality .
Very nice light wind kite to get you out there rippin when others are standing on the beach.Even on a nobile 50/50 with tiny fins the kite was tearing me upwind , A couple of guys have used this kite on a new North race board and let me say the performance is rediculas .. well worth a demo..
