My Comments:
hey guys,
finally arrived! My new NHP 134x42 2010!
Saturday i had my first run on it and here is what i found... so far
Conditions: 20-23kts - flat water and choppy water
Kite: SB IDSX 12m
Board: NHP 2010 134x42
Me: 180cm about 85kg
4 years riding - don't consider myself an expert at all i just love to have fun kiting...
I had a good 4hs ride on saturday testing it... first of all i'd like to say i love this board!
It's a lot faster than my old one, the thing just goes... found my self a few times having to stick my bum in the water to slow down a little... but i love it!
it feels a lot different than my old 666 135x44, maybe because of the size difference too...
It's a lot more hard work to edge and it feels stiffer too... but you can still go upwind really easy with it...
in the afternoon the sand bank was up and i had to move to deeper water it was annoyingly choppy but i was really impressed out of 2 hs riding choppy conditions i didn't get 1 single spray in the face [awesome!!!!]
When it comes to handling chop i have no complains ether, it feels really smooth and allow you to keep tracking upwind with ease.
landing jumps is pretty smooth too, even when you land a bad one...
switching sides is very easy and the board doesn't stick to the water at all, really easy to change stance even without popping.
riding toe side is very easy too...
The straps and paddings are the best i ever tried before... very very comfortable. My only concern is the way the adjustment works, instead of using velcro they use a buckle type strap to adjust, the material is very thin and the buckle has some sharp teeth so i think this may brake with time... hope i'm wrong about that.... other than this the straps are perfect 10/10.
Overal, i'm really happy with this board, but maybe i've should have listen to you guys and gone for the bigger size, but lucky i kept my old board so i have a good low wind board on my quiver too... i guess its just a matter for me to get used to edging harder...
i'd give this board a 10/10 on every aspect comparing to the 666 2007... the 666 2007 is still a very good board, if it wasn't for the spray in the face that is quite annoying it would be a 9/10 board but riding the 666 on choppy water is like having a sprinkler system connected to the front of your board, it can get quite annoying...
Next time i'll try to setup the NHP on wide stance to see if it feels better for edging...
cheers

sorry Waxman,
not selling my old one for now, i'll use it for light wind as it's a little bit bigger and less rocker so it's a light wind machine...
cheers,
