has any one got any experience with this board. I am looking for a mutant that performs well in small waves, but also excels at boosting and freeriding. The specs on this board look good. 5'4, 17.75", tri fin set up

I am also keen to hear reviews. I normally ride a longboard without straps, and seeing this board, it looks like a strapped option I can use in shallow water. Anyone with experience of the mako king (especially if you are a big boy) let me know.

Only rumours and glimpses on the net.

Generally everybody who has one loves it. As you would expect it's better than a TT but not as good as a surfboard but a pretty fine compromise allround.

It's not described as a super lightwind machine although apparently it goes upwind very well.

Just about everybody rides it in mutant configuration. Some guys ride it strapless with the optional deck pad. A few people have mounted rotating straps to get a better stance.

The only bad thing is that a few have delaminated. Most have been replaced and the owners are happy. One guy sounded pretty grumpy about it.

I have enquired about getting one and you have to buy one. There's no provision for demo or to return it if you hate it. That is a little puzzling. If they're so great I would think OR would be pushing them a bit harder. It's a touch too expensive for me to take a punt on when everything else I get to try out before I buy.
