looking for a new kite currently on an 04 fuel so its time to upgrade after doing some research i recon i should go sigma or rev(or am i wrong) i weigh 85 and currently on a 13 so id prob stick with a 13, i like big air speed, good turning and mainly free riding buut some wave riding... any recomendations before i purchare, any insite would be appricated

oh and before any one goes go demo them i ride c's so my knowledeg of bowa is sweet fa so even if i like one more it might not be the best for me 2 months down the line...and thats why god invented forums:)

Rev
- light on bar
- fast turning
- good low end
- good high end
- easy relaunch
-5/5

Sigma
-light on bar
-fast turning
-bad low end
-good high end
- average relaunch
- 3/5

I could go into more detail but simply i find the Rev to be the better option. Ive tried both kites extensively (7 & 11 Revs, 9 &12 Cult and Helix) in varying winds and the Rev was the standout although the Sigmas are still good kites. Especially coming from Fuels you will find the Rev to be the easiest transition out of the 2. Pretty much all kites this season are good but the Rev is definetly one of the standouts. Feel free to p.m me if you have any questions

Hi Booman,

I strongly recommend the Naish Cult 12m or 13.5m, light bar pressure, great in the waves. easy riding and jumping. Super fast relaunch, best kite I have ever ridden easy.

I found the helix to have excellent relaunch - even in 11 knots (14m). Its just a bit different to most other kites

Ozone Sport will feel more C kite like for you. Both the Rev and Helix are covered in pulleys, sand eats things, they fly a lot differently to C kites when that's all you've flown. I have Rev and Ozone, what can I say, they're all good these days.

I don't understand why you think the Sigmas have bad low end Dustin? I find they are as good as any other SLE or Hybrid, especially the CULT.

I do think though the 13m Rev has outstanding low end.

I have flown both these kites back to back and you couldn't go wrong with either. Maybe choose on features, bar etc..
Good luck.

it seems my option would be the rev. the only 3 kites of the minute seem to be the rev cult and bandit.... ill prob have to demo but not sure what to look uot for cos i spend all my $$$ on crap and never upgrade. a rev 13 and something else 17-20 would be a nice quiver ill scope it out thanks for all your help any other useful info would still be appriciated

If you like the Rev then you will also like the Blade Vertigo as they are similar kites. Check out the review in the latest KBM and at $1295 for a 12m you will have plenty of $$$ left over for other gear.
